Conversations on Love

Recently I was Blessed by one of the most beautiful conversations i have ever had, and I felt it needed to be continued. Here are my thoughts on it.

Love is truth, Love is God, Love is the most beautiful and most raw feeling we could ever have as humans. So here we are the essences of the vision our fathers and mothers had for us, cultivating the one Love. Living in Love, creating happiness as often as we can. We have learned to Love our friends, our community, our music, ourselves, we have made so many changes to be in the path of enlightenment. Still with all that evolution some how we have neglected our ability to Love in the construct of personal relations. Why do we loose the feeling of the one Love when we are in Love with one? What is it that changes our thought processes when it comes to "Lovers"? We are able to love those we call friends unconditionally with out expectations, we allow those people to be themselves, have there faults. And without even a blink of an eye we accept because we Love them. But when in the structure of relationship those same faults, demons, and down falls challenge us to the core. Is it not the same Love? Have we let archaic relationship structures cloud our ability to Love one with one Love? We are embarking on a time of great change and we know deep in our hearts that those that love can be the answer. So now I think we have a challenge to redefine these old traditions with in relation, as we have redefined so many other structures we have been conditioned with. I am not in full support of polysexual relations (if thats what you like go for it) I am personally in support of monogamy with ties to sex. But I am curios about the truth behind polyamory, the ability of the human mind to love in multiples. I truly believe we can change the way we love within relation, as well as how we define relation. I believe this to be one of the more perplexing and challenging philosophical issues i have wrapped my mind around, and i really would love you to sit on this topic, please write any thoughts down. We will be Blessed to hear your thoughts.

This is the most powerful Solstice that we've had in modern or ancient history, so this is BIG and I hope you take advantage of this information..
The Solstice is when the Sun moves into the sign of Capricorn and our days start getting longer (the return of the SUN/ SON). This Solstice is so rare, that no one knows how long ago this line-up actually last occurred, but we are sure it hasn't happened in the last 26,000 years. This means we have NO DATA on what to expect, so I'm simply giving you my best guess. The line-up for this Solstice is this: the Galactic Center, Pluto, Sun, Jupiter and Mercury all within 6 degrees of each other and opposite Mars retrograde. Talk about a powerhouse! guns. I'm talking about a revolution in our consciousness. That's the only thing that can save this planet and our lives, along with everything else that lives on Earth.

The annual Ink People Artist's Challenge show and Art SALE
starts Dec. 1.,
6-9 pm

Pre-sale is from 5-6 pm. It's a $10.00 entrance fee, but then you get first pick of the art.

I think they said 90 artists participated, so there's a large selection of ORIGINAL ART for sale, from $30 - $60.

I have 15 pieces up, and my friends Kirsten and Krishna do as well. :)

Hay all!
I've tried to post a this before, but for some reason, it didn't registrar and folks couldn't read what I had written. So, I'm going to attempt to write it out again and hopefully this time, we'll have more responses,

Ok, so...a little info and background. I'm in Israel, and working on a project out here to grow herbs for the community. Also, wanting very much to have a program available for kids and their parents to learn about plants and how they communicate with us on all levels. It's really something that isn't being done here and I would like to bring this opportunity to light. I need some help. That's way i'm writing this request. We have a few green houses, so climate is not an issue. We need seeds! All different kinds, but organic. Herbs and winter vegetables.

The list for herbs:Elder flowers ,Yarrow ,Sage ,Rose hips ,Echinacea,Mullein,Astragalus,
Poke Root,Elecampane ,Thyme.

We are asking for 30 seeds each be sent to Israel.
We are asking for donations, since this project can really use all the help it can get and we really don't have the funds to get these seeds. Also, we request that the seeds are from your own garden and collected by you. It's a beautifal thing to know that the seeds that we are receiving are from people who cared for these plants and havested the seeds themselves. There is a story there and it makes it interesting to explain where these seeds came from and who cared for them. We like telling it this way.

Our request for organic Veggie seeds:
Celery ,Chinese leaves ,Dark greens ,Leeks ,Mushrooms, Squashes ,Winter roots ,Winter salads.

If it's not too much trouble to send the seeds with labels so we know what is what.

If you have any questions please feel to send me a message.
Thanks so much for helping us with this project. I mean a lot to us and the many people who's lives will be changed by your seeds.

If you are interested, please let me know and I can give out the address of where to send the seeds.

I have a good friend who's looking for a place.

She's hoping to move out from Ft. Collins, Colorado by Sept 1, and is looking to share a two bedroom place with someone who won't mind her two wonderful, CLEAN dogs. She'll be attending HSU eventually (not this semester), and in the mean time is seeking full-time work locally. She's 21, was raised in a hippie-dippie environment, but is not TOO hippie-dippie, and besides, she's my friend. She's an omnivore, but is respectful of others' kitchen needs. Here's the best thing- she loves doing dishes!!!! If that's not a rarity, I don't know what is.

So, if anyone's got a room opening up soon, or needs to find a new place and would like to share a two bedroom house in Arcata, PLEASE call Gaia at (970)405-5091.

She'll be in town from now THRU the 6th, leaving early on August 7 to go home to Colorado.

After all these years I don't think I've posted a mix. How pathetic. Well thats all changing now.

Here is a link to a demo mix I made last week for a DC area crew. They are requesting 30 minutes so its a short one but I try to show two of the many styles I play. It starts with techno going from minimal to a more percussive style then moves into electro house touching on the funky side of electro. I was inspired by the recent show in DC featuring Starkillers (bad ass mofo) and Dj Dan so I have a Nick Terranova track followed by a Starkiller's remix of Dj Dan. The mix ends with one last transition going into Vocal house with a beautiful Brazilian female vocal. Arts Alive this Saturday! First Street Gallery

Hey there folks, before you all head over to Sacred Palace to go dancing all night this Saturday, I have three paintings in a group show this month at First Street Gallery (behind the gazebo where y'all spin yer fire so beautifully). The show itself is open now, with regular gallery hours being Wed thru Sat, noon to 5 till August 5th, but the real deal will be the Artist's Reception this Saturday from 6-9 (curiously enough, right before the Deep Groove Society's Sacred Palace gathering. Imagine that???).

The show is made up of "new" HSU Alumni, with many of the artists being from the Honors programs, so there's going to be some AWESOME artwork up, from media including printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry(?) and painting (including myself and four other awesome painters from the Honors Painting program at HSU). This show happens only once every three years, so there's time to select artists working at a "truly professional level" (as the brochure for the show states). Some NICE work in that place.

Those of you who saw my art at Sacred Palace during Arts Alive there in December, knows I love to paint big. These three paintings are no different. Only one of them was at the show in December, and it wasn't for sale then.

Free VW Van to a good home...

I've got a 1985 VW Vanagon (not camper) that runs (needs water pump replaced) and has a good stereo and plenty of room (center seat included). I've moved to Santa Rosa and don't want to bother with the vehicle any more. I'd love to give it to someone who could really use it for powerfully good things!!!

It passed smog two years ago and has been sitting for the majority of that time. Take it as it is.

Pan's Labyrinth

So I follow the advise of some tribe members and rent the movie Pan's labyrinth, damn that movie sucked, I mean Guillermo del Toro has made some crap in the past, his movies are sometimes dull and very stiff, but for this one it's like he didn't even try, I mean Cronos was a very dry movie, but yet I still like it, and the devil's back bone is alright. With most of his work I either like it, or don't even bother with it, but this movie actually made angry that I had paid money to watch it, I still feel unsatisfied, the only good thing about that movie is that some of the effects where cool, but other than that, please don't waste your money, just donate your 4 dollars to a homeless person asking for help.
On the other hand some will argue that it is for it's simplicity that it is a great movie. I say I hate the stupid thing, and it is my personal opinion, I just wish someone would've warned me beforehand, and I feel it is my duty to do that for others.
And before I get all the angry Guillermo del Toro fans trying to lynch my ass it's just my opinion that this particular movie sucked ass....
